One of the best aspects of traveling is getting to explore a new place, learn new things, and just walk around! We've been in Xela for over 2 weeks now and I'm feeling familiar enough with the layout of the city, that I'm really beginning to enjoy just wandering around, finding new places, enjoying old ones and thinking. This is one of the reasons I so often become completely obsessed with the idea of moving to a new city...the prospect of wandering around a new place! The idea of learning a new city, finding new favorite places like coffee shops, bars, resturants, and stores. Even trying to figure out where to buy toothpaste becomes an adventure! Being in another country also has the added bonus of providing one with opportunities to have to figure out how to say what one wants as well as having to figure out where to get it. Being in a new place is the perfect antidote for boredom!
That being said, wandering around and wondering is much more fun with husbands and dogs close by.
