So......If you've been following, you might remember that I am re-obsessed with Sufjan Stevens, and especially his new album, The Age of Adz. But as the coldness and winter has come upon us, I am remebering his Christmas album as well. This album is equally as awesome and makes me feel in the spirit of Christmas without feeling like a Christmas nerd.

Oh Christmas Tree
Naked among friends and family

All dressed up in its new home

As a child I used to always decorate the Christmas tree while my mom would watch. I would put on the lights all by myself and then individually place each ornament in the what seemed to be the perfect spot while explaining the story behind them all, performing an ornamental monologue.
This year Jason watched me decorate the tree and listened intently to my ornament narrative.
It must be my fate to perform this duty as I seem to be unable to escape it.

Salty Snacks!
If I were to make a definitively divisive statement right now regarding snack choices, I might say: "There are two types of people in this world, those who like salty snacks and those who like sweet snacks. Which are you?"
And, if our snack preferences revealed something revolutionary about our personalities, what would that be?

And then I bought index cards...
I am officially not a writer or a kid, but I think I need some index cards to write my children's book. My goal is to accomplish this over the Christmas Holiday. As I am neither goal oriented nor prone to finishing things, I will need your help (as in, you, the internet audience) holding me to it. I am a lady of my word and I do really want to get my children's book sensation off the ground.
So, I'm going to Staples and I'm going to buy them out of index cards.

Among the Animals
An Indian legend says: " When a human dies there is a bridge they must cross
to enter into Heaven. At the head of the bridge waits every animal that
human encountered during their lifetime. The animals, based on what they
know of this person, decide which humans may cross the bridge...and which
are turned away."
I got this in an email from the Pet Society from which Viktor sprang.
I'm liking this legend. I like the image of all these animals deliberating our fate.
